Membership Terms & Conditions & Code of Conduct

 

About Membership

All Malaysian citizens and permanent residents, as well as Malaysian citizens residing outside of Malaysia, are eligible to apply for a WNBF Malaysia membership. Memberships cost RM300 and are valid for 12 months from the date of the member's first participated competition using that membership.

 

What is the membership fee for?

Your membership and entry fee pays for WNBF Malaysia to run events and for the drug testing of athletes at events. We pride ourselves on providing an official drug testing programme to keep the sport clean. Each drug test costs WNBF Malaysia USD 140 to perform, and your membership contribution ensures we are able to fulfil this at all of our events.

WNBF Malaysia has a Code of Conduct for its members and a Common Decency Policy. This code is in place to foster an atmosphere of respect amongst all members. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in suspension from WNBF Malaysia. Any athlete (past or present) who promotes WNBF Malaysia either in person or as part of their online presence is subject to WNBF Malaysia's rules. WNBF Malaysia reserves the right to decline membership to any individual without the right to appeal. WNBF Pros should refer to the WNBF's rules and guidance on Pro membership.

 

Membership Terms & Conditions

Please ensure you have read and agreed to all of the terms and conditions below before submitting your registration.

• A membership must be purchased prior to competing.

• Membership and entry fees are strictly non-refundable.

• Proof of age is required at the time of registration for age-restricted classes.

• If you make a mistake on your form or need to change your information, please contact us directly as soon as possible.

• If an extra payment is made and a refund is required, a 3% charge imposed by Stripe will be deducted from the refunded amount. Please ensure the accuracy of your payment to avoid unnecessary charges.

• Membership fees do not cover charges for additional services such as tanning, polygraph testing, makeup, or any other supplementary services.

• Overseas participants are required to obtain membership from their resident country's WNBF affiliate chapter and provide proof of payment or membership details. Athletes residing in or representing a country without a WNBF affiliate are required to purchase their membership directly from WNBF Malaysia. Please refrain from making membership fee payments to WNBF Malaysia if you are a resident of a country with an existing WNBF affiliate. In the event of an erroneous payment and a refund request, a 3% charge imposed by Stripe will be deducted from the refunded amount.

• WNBF Malaysia reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Members must accept the updated terms to maintain their membership.

WNBF Malaysia Code of Conduct & Common Decency

All rules apply to members both in person and online.

• Members should aim to excel in their chosen discipline and inspire those around them.

• Members should act with common decency, good faith, honesty, and integrity.

• Members should respect the culture and all officials and associates of WNBF Malaysia.

• Members of WNBF Malaysia must be natural athletes.

• Members must comply with WNBF Malaysia's anti-doping rules.

• Members should report any violations of WNBF Malaysia's anti-doping rules to the designated drug control officer.

• Members accept that by standing on the WNBF Malaysia stage, they are asking to be judged by a panel of their peers.

• Members are responsible for ensuring their own physical fitness and health before participating in any activities or competitions. WNBF Malaysia is not liable for any injuries or health issues that may arise during any events.

• All members of WNBF Malaysia are required to comply with both in-season and out-of-season random drug testing upon proper notification from WNBF Malaysia. Failure to participate in testing — whether by polygraph or biological sampling (urinalysis, blood, or hair sampling) — without valid reason will be treated as a drug test failure and will result in immediate membership termination.

• All drug test results, whether passed or failed, will be made public by WNBF Malaysia. By purchasing a membership, athletes give their full consent for WNBF Malaysia to publicly disclose their test results, including polygraph and urine test outcomes.

• For members who pass a random off-season drug test, WNBF Malaysia will reimburse the cost incurred. Members who fail the test will not be eligible for a refund of the amount paid.

• The cost of the urine test on competition day is included in the membership and entry fee. No additional payment is required regardless of the test result.

• Members give consent for their images, videos, and competition results to be used by WNBF Malaysia for promotional and media purposes.

• To ensure fairness of competition, all participants may only use the tanning service provided by the organiser, WNBF Malaysia. The use of any external tanning products or services is strictly prohibited during the competition.

• WNBF Malaysia reserves the right to discipline or disqualify members who violate these Terms & Conditions or Code of Conduct, including but not limited to acts of misconduct, cheating, doping, or any behaviour that brings WNBF Malaysia into disrepute.
